Domain presentation
Between Auguste, Claude and Thomas there is a more than juste a family bond. For this Domaine and its three generations set in Fontenay près Chablis the bond comes for the land and the vineyard. If nothing really set the course for this tiny farm to become a Domain fate caught up with Auguste who started planting Chardonnay in 1953. His son, Claude, bettered the Terroirs knowlegde and had the first plantations grow to now 11 hectares (27,18 acres) of Petit Chablis, Chablis and Chablis Premier Cru. His grand son, Thomas, came back to his roots to push the Domain towards winemaking and marketing its own bottles with a full grasp of the family values based on hard work and a profound respect for the Terroirs. Production philosophy
Everything starts and eventually happens in the vineyard. Terroirs are the ones inspiring and guiding our hands and our savoir-faire to pack the uniqueness of each single acre in our bottles. More than a wine making process choice driving the vineyard in a respectful manner drives us towards superb wines one vintage after the other. Technic, just as we are, is only there to serve the Terroirs. (See More...)
